The data for this map comes from the Groundwater Inventory and Mapping Project, a cooperative effort between several government agencies.  It includes the depth to water table raster image and the actual well locations and depths.  It makes a good reference map for well drillers or Real Estate Agents or people thinking of drilling a well.
